Things to Know

Family Adventures was started in March of 1999 by myself, Kim Schultz. After noticing that there weren't a lot of apparent travel ideas for families with children, I decided it was time to find a way to service the family travel market.

Having 15 years of customer service under my belt, a position that required attention to small details and a lot of hand holding, I decided the travel industry was an exciting venture for someone with my skills. I also made the important decision to be home-based, so I can spend time with my children.

Family Adventures offers research, independent travel planning services and packages through tour and cruise operators that have itineraries and/or facilities for families. I believe in finding a vacation to match
your family and budget and do not choose products to sell just because they offer the best commission.

Family Adventures created this website to provide families with general travel ideas and information along with a variety of other things, such as thoughts of the day, family oriented articles, client's travel stories, and much more.

Travel suggestions for the different age groups will be updated as new ideas come up. Links will be added as new ones are found. The Thinks page will be updated with new articles and hopefully more often with a thought for the day/week/month. The Travel Stories page will always have a story from someone who has enjoyed (or maybe not enjoyed) their vacation. Keep an eye out for more pages and information - things will be constantly evolving to create a website you keep coming back to for information. If you are impressed with the website, I know you will be equally impressed with the help I provide to "design" a vacation for your family.
