What Do We Say to Our Children?
by Kim Schultz

Well, by now you and your children have had some exposure to the terrible attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and the crash in Pennsylvania. If you are like me, you are unsure about what and how much to say, let alone figure out how to handle your own disbelief and grief in front of the kids. I can't write an article about any of this - I am not qualified to do that. Instead, I would like to forward links to several sites offering help, guidance and miscellaneous information. I hope you can find what you are looking for.

One of my favorite articles - Miami Herald - " Bloodied but Unbowed " - by Leonard Pitts Jr.

A wealth of advice can be found online for talking to kids about the tragedy, including articles at ABCnews .com, MSNBC.com , and washingtonpost . com .
