Dance with Chris Cruise

The Particulars
(as of Mar 30, 2005)

1. All
prices are based on two people to a cabin. If you are interested in a roommate and haven't asked someone, we can try and match up people. If you want to travel all by yourself, the cost for one person only
in a cabin is double the per person price (yikes!).

2. Payment and cancellation schedule is :

Oct 20 - $225 additional per person is due for a total of a $250 deposit. Those who already paid $250 per
person do not need any additional payment. At this time, each passengers full legal name will also
be required. This is the name shown on your passport or certified copy of your birth certificate/driver's
license. The $250 total deposit per person is fully refundable up until January 9 - when cancellation
penalties take effect.

Jan 3, 2006 - Final payment is due (this is the balance less the $250 per person deposit).

Jan 10, 2006 - from this day forward, any cancellation will cost $250 per person.

Feb 25, 2006 - From this day forward, any cancellation is 50% of cruise cost

Mar 20, 2006 - From this day forward, cancellation is 100% of cruise cost

3. Cancellation insurance is not included. Carnival's cancellation insurance is $59 per person 16 years of age and younger and $129 for those who are 17 or older. This is a travel insurance and NOT a "bad hair day insurance". Cancellation is only refunded under strict guidelines, including physician documented illness which would prevent travel, unexcusable jury duty and a variety of other reasons that can be found on Carnivals website.
**See me for travel insurance - I have a less expensive alternative.

4.
Airfare can be included in the cruise price, but it is typically less expensive to separately arrange Southwest, American or another airline from San Jose to LAX or Orange County airports and JetBlue from Oakland to Long Beach. Purchasing air from Carnival with the ticket does provide some benefits if the airline is delayed and it also includes a shuttle to and from the pier. Independent shuttles can be prearranged or picked-up at the airport upon arrival. Even less expensive is to carpool and drive there. A pre-cruise Saturday night or post-cruise Sunday night stay at a "Park & Cruise" hotel (approx $129 + tax) including 7 days parking and shuttle to and from hotel can be balanced against the cost of 7 days parking at the pier ($12/day).
**I can coordinate everyone's air schedules so we know who is coming in and leaving at the same time (or close to the same time) so multiple passenger shuttle discounts can be arranged.

5.
Gratuities are NOT included in the cruise price. These can be prepaid for $70 per person which will cover tip to your room steward (s), waiter/waitress and head waiter. It does not cover the tipping of maitre de.

6. Shore excursions can be purchased from Carnival directly from their website or arranged (hopefully through Family Adventures) with an independent tour company. If enough people are interested in a particular tour (such as Swimming with the Dolphins in Puerto Vallarta), I can see if we can get a group discount!

7. Chris's dance & toning  schedule is still being worked out. As soon as we get confirmations from Carnival as to available facilities class dates and times will be announced. The classes will ONLY be open to those people traveling with this group. All participants will be required to fill out some paperwork prior to each class.

8. And yes, some cabins will fit 5 in a room - though the 5th person may need to sleep on a roll-away.

9. Yes, all alcoholic beverages , non-alcoholic specialty beverages (mocktails, cappuchinos, smoothies, etc) are additional costs. And No, they do not allow you to bring alcohol on board, but we can discuss this.

10. There are two formal nights on the cruise. It's fun to dress up and show off what excercise has done for us!

11. Yep, the rumors are true. Carnival definitely serves lobster at least once during the cruise. And I heard from a reliable source (one of my clients) that it is delicious.

12. Nope, pets are not allowed, including pugs. Sorry Chris.

13. Families are welcome . Just beware - your husband or significant other may want to join an exercise/dance class after he sees how much fun we have!
